Apple Search Ads
Connect your Apple Ads account to AdShift to import campaign costs and performance data, and view SKAN installs in SRN Insights.
Apple Search Ads (ASA) places your app in front of users actively searching on the App Store. Connect your Apple Ads account to AdShift to import campaign costs and performance data, and view SKAN installs alongside your other channels in SRN Insights.
Before you begin
- AdShift iOS SDK integrated — see dev.adshift.com for the integration guide.
- Apple Search Ads Advanced account — Apple Search Ads Basic does not support the reporting API. An Advanced account is required to connect to AdShift and pull campaign data.
Connect your Apple Ads account
Connecting your account lets AdShift:
- Import campaign costs and performance data (spend, impressions, taps)
- Display SKAN installs and downloads reported by Apple in SRN Insights
How to connect

Go to Collaborate → Partners and click Apple Search Ads.

On the partner profile page, click Connect Apple Search Ads. A modal appears listing the permissions AdShift will request:
- Read campaign structure and settings
- Read ad performance and costs
- Read conversion data
AdShift will not create or modify your campaigns. Your data is used only within AdShift.

Click Continue to Apple Search Ads →. You are redirected to Apple to authorise the connection.

Sign in with your Apple Ads credentials and approve the access request.

After authorising, you are returned to AdShift. The partner profile page shows a green banner: 1 account(s) connected · Apple Search Ads · Synced X ago.
Managing the connection
Go to Collaborate → Active Integrations → Network Connections. The Apple Search Ads tile shows:
- Connected account name (your Apple Ads organisation name)
- Health status: Healthy or an issue indicator
- Last sync timestamp
- Add Account — connect additional Apple Ads organisations
- Disconnect — revoke access
Apple Search Ads Basic accounts are not supported. If you connect a Basic account, campaign data will not be available.
SRN Insights — campaign performance
After connecting your account, campaign data is available under SRN Insights → Network Self-Reports → Apple Search Ads.

Use the date range selector to filter by last 7, 14, or 30 days, or set a custom range.

Troubleshooting
Campaigns appear as "unknown" in reports Apple Search Ads Basic does not expose campaign data via the API. Upgrade to an Advanced account or check that you connected the correct account.
The account shows a health issue or "Token expired" The OAuth token has expired or been revoked. Go to Collaborate → Active Integrations → Network Connections, find the Apple Search Ads tile, and reconnect the account.
